WTA Wuhan Open 2025 - Women's Tennis Betting Odds, Tips & Live Stream

The WTA Tour approaches the end of 2025 full of action, upsets, and fairytales, and the Wuhan Open becomes the focus of attention for tennis fans around the world.

Here at Stake, we’ll discuss everything you need to know about the WTA Wuhan Open, what to expect, and how to bet on tennis at Stake Sportsbook.

Introduction to the WTA Wuhan Open 2025 Tennis Betting

The WTA Wuhan Open is one of the Masters 1000 events on the WTA Tour calendar. That means it makes up the third most prestigious competition, which also means that it offers the third highest amount of WTA ranking points.

The Grand Slams are the highest in terms of prestige and ranking points - that’s Wimbledon and the US, French, and Australian Opens. Below that is the WTA Finals, and then the WTA 1000 events.

When is the WTA Wuhan Open 2025?

The Wuhan Open runs from October 4 to October 12. The competition proper begins on October 6, with the first two days part of the qualification process.

Who is Playing in the 2025 WTA Wuhan Open?

As this is one of the biggest events on the tennis calendar, the biggest stars will make their way to Wuhan to compete.

Unfortunately, the roster of stars won’t include defending champion Elena Rybakina. The Kazakh pulled out of both the WTA China Open in Beijing and the Wuhan Open, citing her desire to be fit for the WTA Finals as a factor in avoiding the Asian swing.

American Jessica Pegula will be making an appearance, though she will not be joined by compatriot Coco Gauff, who struggled in qualification for the event. It means that the event is very much up for grabs, with Jasmine Apolini and Qinwen Zheng also withdrawing from the tournament, in addition to World Number 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

Format and Schedule of the WTA Wuhan Open

  • October 8: Round of 32

  • October 9: Round of 16
