WTA Tour 2025 Women's Tennis Betting Odds, Tips & Live Stream

The Women’s Tennis Association is the main body in women’s tennis, responsible for arranging the biggest events and tournaments in the sport. With its headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, the WTA oversees elite women’s tennis worldwide.

There are more than 50 events on the WTA Calendar, comprising four Grand Slams and dozens of regular season events played in just under 30 different countries. Whether you're a keen tennis bettor or a beginner to tennis betting, you can bet on all the prestigious tournaments and individual matches on the WTA Tour.

Take a look at our tennis betting guide, or read on to find out how to place your bets on female tennis players this season with the latest tennis betting odds at Stake Online Sportsbook.

Major WTA Tennis Tournaments

The four Grand Slam tournaments hosted by the WTA are the Australian Open, US Open, Wimbledon, and the French Open. These events are the pinnacle of women’s tennis and are what every player wants to win.

That being said, there are major tournaments that run throughout the WTA season, including the following high-profile tennis events that you can bet on at Stake.com:

  • WTA Indian Wells

  • WTA Miami

  • WTA Madrid

  • WTA Rome

  • WTA Beijing

The above events are so high profile because the winners are awarded 1,000 ranking points, making them extremely competitive among the best tennis players in the world.

History of the WTA Finals Tournament

The WTA was established in 1973, the year after the ATP, with Billie Jean King seeing the need for a women’s body in tennis. However, the WTA Finals actually predates the establishment of the WTA.

The first-ever edition was played in Florida in 1972, and saw American Chris Evert claim the inaugural Finals, beating Australian Kerry Melville. Evert would go on to claim a further three finals titles, and would go on to only be bettered by Serena Williams (five) and Martina Navratilova (eight).

It was initially established as a curtain-closer for the Virginia Slims Circuit, the Tour’s predecessor. It is now the fifth most sought-after title on the circuit, behind only the four Grand Slams.

Who Won the 2024 WTA Finals?

American Coco Gauff won the 2024 edition in a hard-fought final against China’s Zheng Qinwen. The final set was particularly nerve-wrecking, with the deciding section of the match a back-and-forth affair that ended 7-6 in Gauff’s favour.

Gauff was only the third to qualify for the Finals, having failed even to reach a final of one of the Grand Slams. Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek, collectively winners of three of the four Slams, were considered the top two, but Swiatek would fall in the round robin stage, and Sabalenka lost to the eventual winner.

Who is Playing in the WTA Finals 2025?

Female WTA players earn points throughout the season for their finishes in 16 WTA-ranked events. Winning a Grand Slam is worth 2,000 points, but other events are weighted according to their difficulty.

At the time of writing (July 24), only one player has qualified for the Finals, and that’s Sabalenka. That’s despite her not claiming any of the three first Slams. We’ve highlighted the other players who look like they could qualify and their points below:

  • Aryna Sabalenka - 7,395

  • Iga Swiatek - 5,983

  • Coco Gauff - 4,609

  • Madison Keys - 4,105

  • Mira Andreeva - 4,024

  • Amanda Anisimova - 3,453

  • Jessica Pegula - 3,301

  • Jasmine Paolini - 2,736

There are also some dark horses to qualify, and we’ve handpicked some names and the stories they bring to the table:

  • Emma Navarro - 2,176 (Young American reached 2025 Australian Open quarter-final)

  • Clara Tauson - 2,089 (Posted career-best finishes at 2025 Wimbledon and Australian Open at just 22)

  • Belinda Bencic - 2,084 (2020 Olympic Gold winner and qualified for the 2019 Finals - returning to form after maternity leave)

Once qualification is confirmed, the WTA Finals tips and predictions will have a much clearer picture on who will be the most likely winner of the competition.

Format and Schedule of the WTA Finals

The first stage of the WTA Finals event is a round-robin tournament between the best-ranked female tennis players on the WTA Tour. The eight players split into two groups of four, each playing three matches.

The top two players from each group progress to the semi-finals, and the semi-final winner competes for the WTA Finals title. The total prize money for this year’s event is $15,500,000.

The Finals series will begin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 1 and end a week later on November 8. The order of play for the round robin groups and the dates of the semi-finals will be announced once all eight players are qualified.

How to Bet on the WTA Finals & Tennis Bet Types

With so many high-profile events and brilliant players to bet on, you now need to decide which tennis betting lines to go for at Stake.com. Here are some of the most popular tennis betting types you can choose from:

  • Moneyline (Head-to-Head): A moneyline WTA bet is a head-to-head bet on the player you think will win a specific tennis match. It’s the simplest bet to place on tennis at Stake.com.

  • Outright: An outright WTA bet is a wager on the player you think will win a specific tournament, not just a tennis fixture. For instance, you could back Coco Gauff to win the US Open in an outright WTA bet.

  • Correct Score: In tennis, a correct score bet is a wager on what you think the final score will be at the end of a match (2-0, 2-1, for instance).

  • Handicap: A handicap bet allows you to bet on the favourite with a handicap attached. This offers better value than betting on the favourite in a moneyline bet.

  • Over/Under: An over/under tennis bet is a totals wager in which you predict how many games will be played in a specific set.

  • Double Result: A bet on two results – perhaps the first set and match winner, for instance.

  • X Set Winner: A tennis wager on the player you think will win a specific set (the first, second, or third set, for instance).

  • X Set Total Games: A straightforward set betting wager on the number of games you think will be played in a specific set.

  • 1st Set Correct Score: A bet on what you think the exact score will be at the end of a specific tennis match.

  • Exact Sets: A bet on the exact number of sets you think will be played in a fixture.
