Coco Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the 2025 French Open, winning 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 6-4. In beating the women’s world number one, Gauff won her second Grand Slam title, her first since she won the US Open in 2023. She defeated compatriot Madison Keys and Loïs Boisson on the way to the final, while Sabalenka had beaten Qinwen Zheng and Iga Świątek.
Elsewhere in the 2025 WTA season, Madison Keys won the Australian Open, while Iga Świątek was victorious at Wimbledon, and Aryna Sabalenka won the US Open.
