Manel Kape
Manel Kape risked becoming more widely known for his antics outside the cage with failed weigh-ins, cancellations and controversial interviews inside the cage. However, he looked incredibly impressive in his last fight. The former RIZIN bantamweight champion showed his excellent striking ability as he stopped Silva in the 3rd round. This fight was originally supposed to be a title eliminator against Brandon Royval, but if he performs well he could still fight for the flyweight belt next.
Asu Alambayev
Hailing from Kazakhstan, Alambayev has just 4 wins in the UFC, but he’s won each of them. His professional record now stands at 21-2, with both of his losses coming early on in his career. In his UFC debut, he picked up a performance of the night bonus as he submitted Ode Osbourne and 43% of his career wins have come by way of submission. He’ll face a tough test in Kape as he takes on the highest-ranked fighter in his career so far.
Cody Brundage
In his last time in the Octagon, Brundage was unfortunately unable to continue after multiple strikes to the back of the head. The fight ended in a no contest, and Brundage will now hope to get back into the win column. His last win came in 2023, with a good stoppage over Zach Reese that earned him a performance of the night bonus. However, he lost his next fight against upcoming title prospect Bo Nickal.
Julian Marquez
Julian Marquez is stepping in to replace Ryan Loder, the TUF winner who was originally scheduled to fight Brundage in the co-main event. The Cuban Missile Crisis is hoping to end a difficult 3-fight TKO losing streak. His last MMA fight was against Zach Reese, the last win that Brundage has on his record. Meanwhile, Marquez hasn’t won in the UFC since 2021.

Main Event
Kape will be annoyed that his scheduled opponent Brandon Royval pulled out due to injury. Many of his scheduled fights in the UFC have been cancelled, although some of those have been Kape’s fault. He’s coming off the back of an extremely impressive performance that had him showboating for three rounds before stopping Bruno Silva. However, it’s worth noting that Silva is Kape’s highest-ranked opponent so far at 13.
While Ase Alambayev has had a good run in the UFC so far, with 4 wins out of 4, he is still only ranked 8th in the division, two places behind Kape. His wins have all been over unranked opposition, so this will be a big test for him. Based on the strength of their wins, Alambayev is understandably the MMA odds underdog for this fight, but he could surprise fans.
Co-Main Event
Brundage has just two wins in his last seven fights, and one of those was due to the other fighter being disqualified. This fight could be a battle for the chance to stay in the UFC, but Brundage will have a slight edge due to his performance of the night win over Zach Reese.
Marquez is currently on a 3-fight losing streak, with all 3 of those losses coming by way of TKO. His last win was against Sam Alvey, who was also on a bad streak of no wins at the time. His last fight saw him get stopped by Zach Reese. Despite this, he’s currently the betting favourite for this upcoming fight.
