He captured the welterweight belt in dominant fashion against Leon Edwards, and his overall professional MMA record now stands at 23-3, including 15 wins in the UFC. However, he struggles to finish his opponents, with 75% of his wins by decision.

Jack Della Maddalena

Jack Della Maddalena lost his first two professional fights, but since then, he’s gone undefeated, racking up 17 wins, including 7 wins in the UFC. His run in the UFC has been impressive since he debuted in the promotion in 2022, with 4 straight finishes in his first 4 fights. Overall, 71% of his wins have been by KO/TKO, and he’s also won 4 performance of the night bonuses.

Valentina Shevchenko

Valentina Shevchenko is one of the most accomplished fighters in WMMA. She debuted in the UFC back in 2016 and has won the belt on two separate occasions while also racking up an impressive 7 consecutive title defences. While she lost her flyweight title to Alexa Grasso in 2023, she won it back after a draw in the rematch and will now look to defend it once more.

Manon Fiorot

Manon Fiorot is another fighter on this card who lost her professional debut, but since then, she’s also gone on a winning run. She’s 12-1 in her professional career and has 7 wins in the UFC, including against Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield. Although she finished her first two opponents, she’s since gone to the judges in all of her fights and overall 50% of her wins have come by decision.

Main Event

Belal might not be the most popular champion with the fans, but there’s no doubting his ability after he handily dismantled Leon Edwards to capture the welterweight title. His grappling ability and relentless pressure meant that Edwards struggled to get going, and there’s a good chance he could do the same to Della Maddalena.

While Della Maddalena has looked impressive so far in the UFC, there are doubts about whether he has the ability to win the title against an opponent like Muhammad. The current UFC odds have him as the significant underdog for this fight. However, his striking ability and the fact that Muhammad is now 36 years old could make a difference.

Co-Main Event

Valentina may be 37 years old, but she hasn’t looked ready to relinquish her hold over the division yet. Although she lost her title to Grasso, she soon won it back and will now look to hold off any more challengers until the end of her career. It’s unlikely she’ll get another 7 title defences, but she should still have the skills to hold off Fiorot.

Manon Fiorot has looked like a potential title challenger since her first fight in the UFC, but she’s worked her way up the division relatively slowly, picking up 7 straight wins before this title shot. Although she’s strong and talented, she likely doesn’t have the skills needed to trouble Shevchenko and she’s the MMA odds underdog right now.
