What is Oktagon MMA?
Oktagon is a mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion based in Central Europe. Similar to other MMA promotions such as the UFC, it holds events throughout the year with its best fighters going head to head inside the cage.

History of the Oktagon MMA
Oktagon was founded in 2016 by Pavol Neruda and Ondřej Novotný. It kickstarted the promotion with a reality show, Oktagon Challenge, which saw contestants competing for a chance to take part in the inaugural event. Oktagon 1 was held in December 2016 in front of an audience of 2,000 people in Prague, Czech Republic.
Over the years following the first Oktagon event, the organisation held multiple tournaments in Slovakia and the Czech Republic with attendances steadily growing. IN 2022, Oktagon held its first event in Frankfurt, Germany, and it has since visited Munich and Oberhaunsen too.
In 2023, Oktagon held its first event in the UK, and in 2024, it broke the live attendance record for an MMA event as 59,148 filled the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt German for Oktagon 62.
Format & Schedule of Oktagon MMA
Throughout the year, Oktagon holds events across Europe, mostly focusing on Germany, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Each event typically features fighters across divisions competing in a tournament, with the winners progressing to the next stage at a future event. The current tournaments offer a prize of €1 million for the winners.
